Theme Parks Gold Coast Tickets: Where to get them and what’s on offer?

The Theme Parks are probably the major drawcard for visitors to the Gold Coast, and as I’ve said before… it doesn’t matter if you are young or old, there IS absolutely something on offer for everybody. So you’re probably wondering where you can get the Theme Parks, Gold Coast tickets and at what price.

And you might also be wondering what’s available, and the best way to get to the Theme Parks as well. Keep reading below to get all the details…

Which Theme Parks

Now, there are several different theme parks for you to choose from… you have Warner Bros Movie World, Sea World and Wet n Wild World. You can actually get a Super Pass or Locals VIP Pass that allows you unlimited entry to all three of these parks. I would recommend that this would be the way to go if you want to experience all that’s on offer, at the best value for money.

There’s also Dreamworld and Whitewater World theme parks on offer. Again, you have the option to buy a pass that covers both of these at a much reduced price. The savings definitely make it a no-brainer to get the special passes rather than buying the tickets individually.

Obviously there are dozens and dozens of rides and attractions available at all of the theme parks. Unfortunately I don’t have the space to go into all of them, but if you click on the two links below you can get all the details there.

Where to get tickets

If you want to get individual tickets or one of the combo passes for Movie World, Sea World and Wet n Wild, simply go to My Fun to make your booking. Or if you want to go to Dreamworld and Whitewater World you can visit DreamWorld for further info or bookings.

There are other booking agents that can take your online bookings for the theme parks, but in general you will get a better price at the links above.

Combo Passes

Again, I would be going with this option and getting a combo pass to gain admission to all the parks at a great price (compared to purchasing the tickets separately). For Movie World, Sea World and Wet n Wild, you can get the Super Pass allowing you unlimited entry to all three parks until 30 June, 2012 (at this time of writing the price is $99.99 per ticket).

If you are a Queensland resident (or northern NSW) you can get the Local VIP Pass for unlimited entry to the three parks til 30 June, 2012 for the price of $79.99 (check the site for latest pricing).

For Dreamworld and Whitewater World, they offer the Holiday World Pass that’s valid for 21 days (after your first visit) at the special price of $89.99 (this covers unlimited entry into both of these parks).

How to get there

If you have never been to the theme parks on the Gold Coast before, you need to be aware that they are very busy places with thousands of people (and cars) that come and go, each and every day. Do yourself a favour and try to avoid driving to the theme parks yourself.  You are better off taking public transport or even better still, a transfer that I will recommend below shortly.

If you do drive, you will have the frustration of fighting with all the traffic and fighting to get a decent car-park close to the main entry. And then you will do it all again when you go to leave at the end of the day.

A better option is to take a mini-bus transfer that picks you up from the front door of your accommodation and drops you off right at the main entry to the theme park. Then in the afternoon, they will pick you up from the park and take you right back to your accommodation.

Price for this is a very reasonable $15 to $22 for a return trip. Considering that this takes all the hassle out of fighting with the traffic and having to find how to get to the theme parks, this is surely worth every dollar.

To find out more about this service or to book, just go to Attraction Transfer.

Summary

Ok, I hope that this has helped you to plan your trips to the various theme parks. The best way to go, I feel, is to get one of the combo passes to save on money and hassle, and the mini-bus transfer will simply add to the enjoyment of the day by eliminating an otherwise stressful trip to and from the parks.

You’ll probably find that after a big day at the theme parks, you may have worked up quite an appetite and will need somewhere good to eat. I’ve written an article that points you in the right direction for finding the best restaurants in Gold Coast Australia.

I’ll leave you with it now… take care and enjoy your trip.
